Why is geographic latency a feature in Kaspa's BlockDAG, not a flaw?
In Kaspa's BlockDAG topology, the delay caused by signals travelling between nodes across the globe is treated as a tolerated feature rather than a problem to eliminate. In a traditional blockchain, latency is the enemy — when two miners produce blocks at nearly the same moment, the one that arrives a fraction of a second later gets discarded and all that work is wasted. Kaspa's BlockDAG design instead accepts those simultaneous, geographically distributed blocks and weaves them into a single agreed-upon order. For a beginner, this means Kaspa does not penalize miners simply for being physically far from one another, which keeps the network naturally spread out around the world.
